This lake is named for Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez.
She was a revolutionary activist who was arrested on the eve of
the revolution in 1910 and was confined in convents until her release
in 1921.
To go to the lake turn right as you leave the park.
About a mile after you cross the river bridge turn right, the road
sign says Pressa Josefa.
The pavement will take you to the dam.
At the near end of the dam is a past governor's weekend house that
has been turned into a teachers college.
This short drive is well worth your time.
